The Leisure Centres in Rushcliffe are helping to get local community fit and active following lockdown.
Lex Leisure is offering all new members free membership until the start of June
The ‘Pay Nothing Until June’ offer is part of the contract’s celebration of reopening after COVID-19 measures ease on 12 April.
The offer is applicable to all new members and falls in line with government calls for the nation to ‘get active’ as rules are lifted.
As a new outbreak of COVID-19 forced the UK into a third lockdown at the start of 2021, the sites were forced to close their doors once again.
However, there is renewed hope for the sites and the leisure sector in general as the government’s roadmap appears to be on track. Some restrictions will remain in place however, with group exercise classes not returning until 17 May.
Luke Colaluca, Contract Manager of the leisure sites in Rushcliffe, has said he is excited ahead of the reopening:
“Since reopening Edwalton Golf Centre on 29 March 2021 we’ve experienced an increase in participation on the par 3, main course and driving range.
“We’re now delighted to be reopening our leisure centres and are very excited at the prospect of welcoming customers back through the doors.
“We hope our offer will entice people to ‘get active’ in line with the Government’s message.
“This is the first stage of our reopening plans and we can’t wait to open more facilities such as indoor group exercise over the coming weeks”.
