Nottingham’s vaccination bus back on the road and you can book an appointment on Swiftqueue

After some repair work has been carried out, the mobile Covid-19 vaccination bus is now back on the road and will visit locations across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire this week.

The bus will visit areas across the city and county including locations in Ashfield, Mansfield and Newark to offer the vaccine to targeted groups of people in areas where vaccination uptake is lower. A team of NHS staff will be on board the bus to administer the vaccine in a safe way.

Anyone currently eligible for vaccination including those aged 44 or over, classed as clinically vulnerable, carers or frontline health and social care workers can be vaccinated on the bus.

Some appointments can be booked in advance on SwiftQueue, but people will also be able to turn up on the day to get the vaccine.

Amanda Sullivan, Accountable Officer for NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “We are pleased our mobile vaccination bus is back up and running and ready to deliver vaccinations to eligible people across our city and county this week.

“I would like to thank our NHS staff and local partners who have been involved for all of their hard work to make this happen.

“Anything we can do to encourage eligible people to come forward for vaccination in areas where uptake is lower is really important.”
